2007 Kentucky Derby Result
Street Sense trained locally by Carl Nafzger and ridden by Calvin Borel won the 2007 Kentucky Derby, witnessed by over 156,000 fans that included HM The Queen who was the special guest of Churchill Downs for the day. The winner went off as the 9-2 favourite and in so doing became the highest priced winning favourite in Kentucky Derby history. He finished 2¼ lengths clear of the second horse, Hard Spun with Curlin almost six lengths further back in third.
