An incredible 50/1 outsider, Mine That Bird romped to victory in the 2009 Kentucky Derby, six and a half lengths clear of race favourite, Pioneer Of The Nile. This win was by was the longest winning distance since 1946 and surprised everybody, including trainer, Choip Woolley. Mine That Bird will now take on 13 others in the Preakness Stakes in a fortnights time hoping to win there and move on to a tilt at the Triple Crown.
